The gruesome shooting dead of police spokesman Andrew Felix Kaweesi has set off a panic mode among many Uganda VIPs, according to the Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom, Mr Charles Peter Mayiga.
He said the killing of Kaweesi has brought fear in the public and he also has to look over his shoulders when he is being driven.
“IGP (Gen. Kale Kayihura) let me address this to you. A situation of uncertainty and fear has been created and I haven’t been spared. I fear anyone else including myself can be next. Infact as am being driven, I watch my back. I keep looking in every direction fearing that they are coming for me,” Mr Mayiga said while addressing mourners at the home of slain police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi in Kulambiro yesterday.
Mayiga has in the past been heavily criticized while mobilizing for funds in the Etoffali drive, where billions were collected but not well accounted for.
