Liquid Silk Bugolobi played host to the first ever ‘Tusker Lite Fuse Box’, a new addition to the Kampala Restaurant Week lineup of splendid activities and eat outs.
The Tusker Lite Fuse Box is a lineup of selected restaurants that serve creative Ugandan fusion of cuisines. In this edition of the Kampala Restaurant Week, Bush Pig, Pizza Connection and Liquid Silk Bugolobi took part in the Tusker Lite Fuse Box.
At Liquid Silk Bugolobi, patrons were treated to a chicken delicacy, the ‘Chicken KinyogiTowie’ (sticky barbeque buffalo wings, stir fried beef with a bowl of curry re-fried beans, rice and chapati) which was served with a complimentary Tusker Lite. Patrons were also treated to some soothing dessert, the ‘Vanilla and Mango Gellato’.
Powered by Tusker Lite and organised by Pearl Guide Uganda, the largest showcase of restaurants in and around Kampala kicked off on the 5th July and will go till 15th July.
During the Kampala Restaurant week, restaurants get to offer meals going as low as UGX 15,000 and UGX 25,000. On normal days, the same meals would go for as high as UGX 35,000.
This year, Tusker Lite has added great value to everyone’s experience by offering a complimentary drink to diners to ensure they enjoy a complete dining experience.
Tusker Lite was introduced into the East African market in 2011 as a low carb beer uniquely brewed with natural ingredients. It delivers an easy drinking experience. The idea behind its introduction was to bring a new taste.
Speaking during the Tusker Lite Fuse Box at Liquid Silk Bugolobi, Grace Namutebi, UBL’s Brand Manager Premium Beers said; “Kampala Restaurant Week is about the best restaurants and it is only fitting for us to have a showcase of some local cuisine fusion. Tusker Lite compliments each meal perfectly and we hope everyone has been enjoying the complimentary drink that has been coming with their meal orders.”
The Kampala Restaurant Week will be capped off with an awards ceremony on the 17th July at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala. This will be to recognize the most outstanding chefs, restaurants and other participants in this edition.
